It latches onto larger aquatic animals, living a parasitic lifestyle. It gains all it's nutrients through the blood-sucker arm on it's back. As such, it no longer has need for it's mouth, and it has become vestigial as to hardly exist (Much like the way animals that live in caves lose the use of their eyes, simply because they don't need them). It usually lives in areas close to the shore, like beaches and estuaries. It's sandy coloration makes it hard to spot in the sand, and any creature unfortunate enough to come into contact with it will have the Tick latch onto them and suck their blood. Pregnant females will lay their eggs inside their hosts.
